A founding member of Spin Systems, Hatem leads the commercial team and directs services, solution sales, and product management. Customer satisfaction with Spin Systems' products and services is Hatem's greatest concern and he takes an active role in a number of engagements as the firm's Executive Sponsor.

Hatem has more than 10 years of experience in managing and delivering complex solutions.  His strong team-building, leadership, motivational, and communications skills, coupled with his extensive knowledge of platforms such as Unix, Linux and Windows, and databases, including Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Server, Hatem provides the vision and insight needed to manage risks, recognize opportunities, and deliver effective solutions.

Prior to helping found SpinSys, Hatem worked with Hummingbird Ltd. as a Senior Project Manager.  At Hummingbird, Hatem was responsible for some of its largest and most complex document management and matter management implementations, including The District of Columbia Public Defender Service, the Department of State, Commonwealth of Virginia State Corporation Commission, and the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division.  At Hummingbird, Hatem implemented innovative programs based on agile methodology. These programs resulted in reductions in risk, cost, and time deployment times; the State of Virginia, in fact, awarded a prestigious 4th Annual Commonwealth of Virginia Governor's Technology Awards to Hatem's project team.  Prior to Hummingbird, Hatem worked for American Management Systems, now part of CGI, where he worked with on several large projects, including the Department of Defense Arnold Engineering Development Center, a project that required analysis, modeling, and migrating more than 64 legacy systems into a common platform.

Hatem has traveled extensively and lived (and worked) in many parts of the world.  He enjoys learning about various cultures and life styles, and is fluent in French, Arabic, English, and Greek.  He holds a BA, Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from the George Washington University.
