Pre-matter/case incidents are managed within SELS.  Incident information may be securely administered by non-law department resources (for instance Human Resources) and concurrently available to law.  As some incidents become matters/cases, SELS transfers the entire history to Matter Management (including documents, dates, and emails) and historical data is preserved. By reviewing the trends surrounding incidents, including which become matters/cases, root causes can be determined and amelioration programs analyzed.  Key benefits include timely resolution of incidents, metrics regarding the result of programs, elimination of "lost" incidents, and increased availability of management information.
